About me

Exploring big ideas through personal human stories

I enjoy collaborating with people to tell their stories in ways that authentically reflect their vision. After completing my BA Middle Eastern Studies and travelling round the Middle East, I realised the power of storytelling through audio and film to translate complex ideas across cultures and help us understand each other’s worlds. I am a trained audio producer and self-shooting documentary filmmaker. I am interested in telling stories about decolonisation, art and architecture, migration and post-colonial identity, environmentalism, grief, Islam and social justice issues in the UK, Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia.

I am a native English speaker, and also speak Arabic and Farsi (Persian)

Graduated with Distinction in MA Ethnographic and Documentary Filmmaking (Practical), UCL, London (Fully-funded by Aziz Foundation Scholarship)

Graduated with First Class Honours in BA Middle Eastern Studies (Arabic and Persian) from University of Cambridge (Clare College)
